Creative Dance is the bridge between playing and training. Three to six year olds learn to listen to music, move on a count, follow a teacher, wait their turn and finish what they started, which is most of what a dance class actually teaches at that age.
There is real content underneath: basic ballet positions, locomotor skills, rhythm and spatial awareness. It just does not feel like a syllabus yet.
Where it leads
Most Creative Dance students move into Ballet, Jazz or Tap around age seven. There is no pressure to; plenty stay for the joy of it.
Class Times
Creative Dance classes are offered Mondays through Thursdays from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.
